Spongeorama is a museum and cultural center that reveals more than you ever imagined about how a lowly sea creature, the sponge, created the industry that built this quaint little sponging village. See a film about these much-sought-after creatures from the phylum porifera and how they helped the town to prosper in the late 1800s. There's also a free dive show. You'll come away converted to (and loaded up with) natural sponges and loofahs.
